Who is responsible for your data

Fiorente2.com is owned and operated by the owner of the Fiorente2.com domain, residing in Voorschoten, The Netherlands. As the owner, I’m the data controller under GDPR. Questions? Reply to any post or send a Direct Message on Substack.

What data we collect and why

When you subscribe, Substack collects your email address on our behalf. We use it to send you newsletters and updates. That’s it. The legal basis is your explicit consent at the point of subscription.

We don’t collect payment data. As of October 2025, there are no paid subscriptions.

Substack as data processor

Substack, Inc. processes your data on our behalf as a technology provider. Their privacy policy applies to data processed on their platform. You can read it at substack.com/privacy.

How long we keep your data

We keep your email address for as long as you’re a subscriber. Cancel your subscription and your data is removed from our active list. Substack’s own retention policies apply to any data they hold independently.

Retention of payment records

Fiorente2.com operated paid subscriptions until October 2025. As a former registered business in the Netherlands, I’m legally required to retain financial records, including subscriber payment data, for 7 years. This obligation exists independently of your subscription status and cannot be waived by unsubscribing or requesting deletion. It applies solely to transaction records and does not affect how your email address or any other personal data is used.

Your rights under GDPR

You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. You have the right to withdraw consent at any time by unsubscribing. You can also lodge a complaint with the Dutch data protection authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens, at autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl.
