Gann Master Cycle updates - April 14 2023
$DJIA, $SPX and $COMPX approaching critical/seasonal dates
Introduction
Last week, I discussed the upcoming Solar and Lunar eclipse of April 20th and May 5th 2023, and added some thoughts on the similarity of the Solar and Lunar eclipses of 1893 and the panic that occurred around this time.
This may happen again, as there is a lot of anxiety around the Russian Ukraine war and the ongoing China-Taiwan tensions.
Not always are eclipses a cause for a change in trend. However, as we are trading 180 calendar days from October 13th, 2022 low and close to 49 calendar days from March 13, 2023 low, the time period between April 20th - May 5th 2023 (Solar/Lunar eclipse) is an interesting period.
As W.D. Gann mentioned in his Stock Market Course:
“As there are 7 days in a week and seven times seven equals 49 days or 7 weeks this often marks an important turning point. Therefore, you should watch for top or bottom around the 49th to 52nd day, although at times a change will start on the 42nd to 45th day, because a period of 45 days is 1/8 of a year. “ W.D.
