Discover the Power of Dominant Cycles & Planetary Alignments
#192 An update on the US Indices: DJIA, S&P500, and Nasdaq
Introduction
The recent jobs report from last Friday showed that the U.S. economy added 272,000 nonfarm jobs in May, surpassing expectations. However, the report also revealed higher-than-expected wage growth and an increase in the unemployment rate. As a result, the stock market initially reacted negatively, with all three major exchanges experiencing dips.
According to Connor Smith in Barron’s recent Review & Preview: “The strong jobs report has reduced the likelihood of the Federal Reserve cutting its rate in July. Looking ahead, the focus will be on upcoming inflation data and the Federal Open Market Committee Meeting”.
This all makes sense, considering the lateral movement we discussed over the past few weeks and the potential for multiple peaks and troughs in the intermediate term.
In my post from last week, I discussed the 4-year cycle and how Jim Hurst utilized the Synchronicity of Cycles theory to forecast upcoming cycle turns in the stock market and other financial markets. This theory explains that different cycles tend to synchronize and repeat over time. By identifying and analyzing these cycles, investors can potentially forecast upcoming cycle turns.
The dominant cycle in the US Indices spans approximately 76 calendar days. At the bottom of the chart, I have depicted the harmonics of this cycle at 19 days, 38 days (half cycle), 380 days (1 year/13 moons), 760 days (2 years), and precisely 4 years, anchored with the low of October 2022 and projected forward.
The diamonds represent the due date for the next cycle. When multiple cycles coincide, there is a higher likelihood of a change in direction. This change could be either long-term or short-term, depending on the cycle length.
In today's post, I will focus on the dominant cycle and its harmonics and illustrate how they are connected to the current market trend in the US Indices. Additionally, I will explore the Mars-Saturn and Mars-Uranus cycles and their potential alignment with these time cycles, also demonstrating how this may align with the longer-term 60-year and 20-year cycles.
