The World in turmoil - take 2
Gann Master Cycle update on the $DJIA and the $S&P 500
Introduction
The US Stock Market Indices still look vulnerable, with lower highs and lower lows the overall longer term trend since early January 2022 is still pointing downwards. It does not mean there will not be any intermediate uptrends.
A few weeks ago I published below chart. In the grey area between first and third week of March 2022 I indicated the likely or less likely price areas if a cycle is going to repeat from 2 years ago. The one year cycle price level is in reach and this may form a temporary bottom for now. The downward channel is close to this as well. Be careful with this cycle as it is currently in an inversion window.
The bigger 4 year cycle is not yet at the end of the cycle and could still be of influence for the market to go into higher territory. The larger Gann Master Cycle is still pointing sideways until mid March 2022.
The volatility in the past few days show the risk more is to the downside, compared to the Gann Master cycle forecast (which has been less volatile during past cycle).
Perhaps market makers are also trying to squeeze out the small retail traders. We can not rule out that market makers going into 3rd week of March 2022 (and with the quarterly option expiration) will further force the markets downwards with a revival afterwards into mid April 2022. Or vice versa.
We will have to watch the chart in front of us. Anomalies can happen and if there is a cease fire in the coming days this may look favourable for many of the stock indices in the world.
If the Russia Ukraine conflict escalates further this may give a total different outlook. Also the FED may be rising interest rates, but perhaps this is already shown in the charts. This complex environment makes it difficult to make trading decisions based solely on past cycles.
Do not try to catch a falling knife, or step into the market to quickly without any confirmation a change in trend has occurred. So, be careful out there. No advice.
