The Cosmic Dance of Finance: Jupiter-Pluto Transit and Possible Repercussions - May 12 2023
Exploring the historical context and current market dynamics in light of the upcoming astrological events - a crisis, or just a storm in a teacup?
Introduction
In our complex economic climate, escalating inflation and rising interest rates are putting banks in a tough spot. In light of Raymond Merriman's recent insights, these shifts are aligning with the upcoming Jupiter-Pluto transit, historically linked to financial crises.
This brings to mind the May 1792 credit crisis and bank run. Could history be repeating itself in 2023? Interesting parallels are drawn, stirring thoughts and curiosity. I shared these thoughts in a recent tweet today, in response to an astrologer's post. You can read my tweet here.
With the political deadlock over increasing the debt ceiling and depleting funds, the ingredients are available we might be on the brink of another crisis. The market disturbances resulting from Mercury's retrograde and the Sun/Uranus conjunction added to the mix, can make the situation tricky for traders. Volatility may increase into the transits where big planets such as Uranus are involved.
Uranus is the planet that also represents innovation, which may be applicable to the recent surge in Artificial Intelligence tools. We have seen a surge in Information Technology (IT) 60 years ago. So, adding the repeat of this Gann Master Cycle to the complexity it could not be as bad as anticipated.
Despite the announced layoffs within IT-driven companies, new technologies are set to provide exciting opportunities for IT engineers. I've experienced this first-hand in my 40-year career working with Fortune-500 companies.
As we are still in Mercury's shadow retrograde period, we may see whipsaw movements, with prices potentially returning to levels at the start of the retrograde period. However, no guarantees. We have more planetary aspects coming up in May and June 2023. Market patterns are complex and multi-dimensional, so one must always remain vigilant.
When everyone expects something to happen, it's wise to be sceptical. The crowd isn't always right, though it can be powerful. Hence, caution is the word of the day. We might be overseeing something and cycles may repeat, but not always with the same timing, amplitude or volatility. Expect the unexpected, anomalies do occur.
So, it may be wise to be prepared but it's crucial to note that the potential severity of the upcoming period may not be as extreme as some investment managers and market forecasters envision.
