Mind the Gap, Double Top or Mercury Rx
#225 Review of the US Indices following the NYSE Transit To Natal Analysis
Introduction
Yesterday, I posted this seasonal Tweet, or Substack note on my social media. As Gann said: "Stocks make important changes in trend every 30, 60, 120, 150, 210, 240, 300, 330 and 360 days or degrees from any important top or bottom, ... and November 22nd is 330° from December 22nd."
This statement is often accurate, and the market surged but will it reach new highs? (*) However, it's important not to get overly excited, as we are entering a period where range-bound movements are common. In a few days, Mercury will go retrograde, which often leads to such fluctuations, and inflection points soon after each other.
You can review the chart below to see what typically happens in the weeks surrounding Mercury retrograde.
The recent retracement toward the last high may only last until Mercury goes Retrograde(Rx). A mirror image fold back from the recent Nov 19th, 2024 low may well be possible. A double top might then be a temporary hold to the long-term uptrend.
Since August, I have shared my New York Stock Exchange Transit To Natal analysis with the Substack premium subscribers. This indicator plots the positive and negative aspects related to the NYSE’s start in 1792 as an index. In 2024 this index followed the US Indices quite closely.
I have created a video review showcasing how this indicator performed in 2024, which I will share in this post for my premium subscribers. The video will demonstrate how the market recently changed its trend again, based on Louise McWhirter’s theory, which is the foundation for my transit to natal indicator.
In 2025, I will use this indicator as the basis for my forecasts and include it my upcoming Stock Market Outlook 2025. If there is sufficient interest, I can offer it on TradingView for my premium subscribers, for personal use at an additional charge.
Premium Subscribers can view this video and read the updated analysis from last week’s post below. Free subscribers may use a one-time pass to view this post (if they have not already used their free pass).
P.S.: I am now working on my Stock Market Outlook 2025, which you can still pre-order at a discounted Black Friday price. (see below).
