Nvidia (NVDA) saw a significant stock drop of around 16% on January 27, 2025, losing nearly $600 billion in market value—the largest single-day loss in U.S. stock history. This decline stemmed from concerns about a language model from Chinese startup DeepSeek, which claimed to require less computing power than U.S. models. The news raised doubts about the returns on heavy investments in AI. Other chipmakers like Broadcom and Micron suffered losses, and the Nasdaq and S&P 500 fell. Is the boom in NVDA’s stock over, or did NVDA revert to the mean?

Let’s have a look at the longer-term trend using a weekly chart.

As shown in the chart above, the price level of $116 for NVDA fell precisely 1162 days after the November 22, 2021, high, measured from the zero point beneath that high on this 1x1 timing line. This is at a $0.1 calendar day vibration rate. Note: 1162*$0.1 =116.2(calendar days).

👉 Today’s takeaway: Price and time are interchangeable, and NVDA might have discovered support that aligns with natural laws. However, this doesn't mean NVDA cannot decline further below this 1x1 line, so let’s explore possible scenarios for how this might progress.

W.D. Gann used an array analysis of stock market data to make his annual forecasts, averaging prior years, like the 10-, 20-, 30-, 60-, and perhaps the 80-year cycle, to plot the future inflection points. Often called a Mass Pressure Forecast.

A 100+ year unknown secret for most people is that you can sometimes make quite accurate shorter-term forecasts by averaging stock market data over the last 5 cycles of Venus. Over the last two years, this forecast showed an 89% correlation (back-tested) with the stock market trend.

This secret was known to Prof Weston, who wrote in his thesis: “Forecasting the New York Stock Market” (1921) on this secondary cycle, and W.D. Gann, who mentioned this seven-month cycle several times in his Stock Market Course.

See, how closely last year the S&P 500 followed the aggregate of the last 5 cycles of Venus.

As Venus represents love, and money in Astrology, it is perhaps no rocket science that the ebb and flood of Venus may represent times when people are more interested in certain assets (appreciate the value) and at other times may react the opposite way and disregard the value.

If this 7-month cycle aggregate of five prior cycles of Venus continues, what could it mean going forward? Will the trend continue?

$UNH - Is UnitedHealth Group finally breaking out of a two-year consolidation pattern? During the Mars-Uranus conjunction, $UNH was drawn towards the Mars-Uranus planetary conjunction, suggesting a potential breakthrough.

As it bounced off the low from May 29th, 2024, the price target could be $558. The last time the Mars-Uranus cycle reached a high around this conjunction was on August 18th, 2022, hinting that $UNH is now at a significant resistance level.

If $UNH continues to follow the Mars Uranus cycle $UNH may be close to a crest. However, cycles can contract, extend and invert.

Should the price continue to climb above $558, the next milestone could be $577, aligning with the high of June 5th, 2024. Hitting the 2x1 Gann timing line by the end of July may square out the June 5th high. Hereafter, a pullback can occur.

Today, I researched the top US banks on my watchlist: JPMorgan Chase, Bank of America, and Wells Fargo. These banking institutions have a long and impactful history in the American financial sector and are significant global players.

JPMorgan Chase, with assets worth $3.40 trillion, is the largest and most influential of the three, followed closely by Bank of America, with assets worth $2.54 trillion, and Wells Fargo, with assets worth $1.73 trillion. Each bank has a unique background, offers a range of digital banking tools, and serves millions of customers worldwide.

As of December 31, 2023, the top 15 banks on my list collectively had around $12.95 trillion in assets.

Most banks are currently trading above my daily, weekly, and monthly reversal levels. However, the top three banks traded lower last Friday, with WFC dropping as much as 6.02%. WFC has been trading lower since mid-May this year and is already below its daily and weekly reversal levels. Will the other banks follow this trend?

$Tesla (TSLA) has been keenly following Venus and Mars cycles since August 18th, 2024, showing a mirror-image foldback (dotted blue line in the below chart). Yesterday, July 11th, 2024, TSLA dropped from $271 to $241. The stock appears to have difficulty breaking the $270 price level.

What is a probable explanation for the recent decline?

From a planetary and time cycle perspective, it is remarkable to see that Tesla declined on July 11th, after Mars passed TSLA’s natal Midheaven, Mercury passed natal Venus, and Moon passed natal Saturn (father time), all signaling time was up for the moment.

TSLA - IPO date

There are interesting similarities in the stock's behavior around June 29th, 2024, and the IPO date of TSLA in 2010, when it was priced at $17 (pre-split). Note the similar acceleration around June 29th this year compared to two years ago. Perhaps @elonmusk may have chosen this date deliberately.

June 29th is remarkable as it is the day hinted at in a trading example involving a fictional automobile company called "Major Motors" in W.D. Gann's novel "The Tunnel Thru The Air." (1927). This link may have been known to Elon Musk. The IPO date of TSLA fell between a lunar and solar eclipse, and the date in Gann’s example was 1 day after a solar eclipse, June 29th.

TSLA & Eclipses

As in #GANN's example, it's intriguing that TSLA's trends may change around lunar and solar eclipses and their midpoints (Sun square Moon’s Mean Node). This aligns with the solar and lunar energy present during TSLA's IPO, leaving an impression that could be repeated.

TSLA - Support and Resistance

Additionally, TSLA’s support and resistance levels on the Square of Nine (SQ9) are at the same angle as the IPO price of $17. Looking at past support and resistance levels, trading algorithms may be set to operate in multiples of squares. See the below and also the first chart.

The recent price level on July 11th, at $270 may represent a significant milestone, especially considering its proximity to the solar/lunar eclipse midpoint on July 2nd, 2024. Despite this, a trend change is not always guaranteed and could be temporary. The stock might still trade higher into mid-September/early October 2024, particularly with the Robotaxi announcement planned for August 8th, 2024.

What’s so special about August 8th, 2024? Why did Elon Musk choose this date? Is this just a random date, or was it deliberately chosen? Let’s look at the natal chart vs. the planetary bodies' position on August 8th, 2024.

This day may be important because the Sun passes over TSLA’s natal Venus, and the Ascendant passes over TSLA’s natal Saturn. With Venus symbolizing value and Saturn symbolizing father time, investors may better realize the potential value of TSLA and that it is about time for a change in trend, this time energized by the Sun and the Ascendant.

Time Cycles

Looking at time cycles, by analyzing price and time, potential future inflection points may be uncovered. For example, 144 calendar days from the April 2024 low point converge on September 10th, 2024, which may align with levels seen two years ago at around $288/$289 (2x$144/square of 17). This also marks 270 trading days from the inflection point of the foldback on August 18th, 2023. Squaring price and time is a useful technique Gann promoted.

It's important to exercise caution when relying too heavily on the fold-back scenario, as market conditions and economic cycles change over time. Cycles can contract, extend, and invert. Time is more important than Price. As a result, we might anticipate a drop in TSLA's stock price leading up to August 8th, 2024, alongside a more general decline in other stocks. Price levels of $225 and $196 are worth considering.

Conclusion

Elon Musk's upcoming announcement on Robotaxi could incite excitement among TSLA investors. A price target of $324 may be considered to continue the trend, as it is the square of 18. When reduced to a single digit, the sum of these numbers is 9, which may indicate the end of a cycle. As mentioned a revisit to the levels seen two years ago at around $288/$289 (2x$144/square of 17), may do as well, squaring the low of April 2024.

In a bullish scenario, a peak may occur around early August to early September, but a low in August and a crest around mid-to-late September towards October 2024 may also fit with the upcoming lunar/solar eclipse of September 18 and October 2, 2024.

Last week, I mentioned: “In the short term, expect the US Indices to continue trending sideways or higher on favorable economic news until the end of June or early July following the Mars-Saturn and Mars-Uranus cycles, which may be a similar path to the 60-year and 20-year cycles.” The S&P 500 and the Nasdaq both continued on their primary trend higher. The DJIA continued to trade sideways. Perhaps this divergence in the US Indices signals an upcoming trend change.

Financial market trends can last for weeks and months at a stretch, and the most profits are usually made by following them, whether they are going up or down. It can be challenging to predict when a trend is about to change. Indicators such as stochastic or RSI may not always be reliable guides for monitoring changes in the primary trend. Cycles and planetary aspects can be helpful tools, but planetary aspects may not always signal the end or start of the primary trend, and time cycles can also contract, extend, and invert.

The stock market is dynamic, and the overall direction can shift suddenly. A recent example is Thales S.A., a European company in the defense and aerospace industry, which experienced a 12% drop in its stock price last Friday. This significant change may have been triggered by concerns about high valuations, resulting in a nearly 1-2 billion market value decrease. This serves as a reminder of the need to stay alert and prepared for such market shifts.

The trend-following indicator in the above chart uses the Average True Range (3x/10 bars) values to identify market trends, switching from positive (long) to negative (short) trends. Positive trends are denoted in green, while downward trends are shown in red.

In the above example, you can see that the close fell below the green dashed daily stop-loss level and the 10-day and 50-day moving averages a few days ago and rested on the red dashed weekly stop-loss level. So, the longer-term trend may remain intact unless this stock trades below that level.

Looking at the chart for Thales S.A., it's clear that setting a stop-loss level could have helped investors avoid the 12% decline. Therefore, a trend-following indicator that tracks market trends, whether bullish or bearish, can provide invaluable guidance on where to place a stop-loss level.

Many traders rely on a trend-following indicator that switches between positive (long) and negative (short) trends based on variations in the Average True Range (ATR), typically tracking at a specific ATR over the last X bars, depending on their risk/reward appetite. As the trend shifts, the stock's volatility often changes so that the stop-loss level will be positioned as close to the recent price. When volatility returns, and the price closes above or below the trend-following indicator, it might signal a change in trend. In sideways markets, this tool can sometimes create whipsaws. Higher time frames can be used to analyze the longer-term trends to overcome this.

Remember always to set a stop-loss level. This can help you identify potential shifts in trends, manage risks effectively, and improve your trading in different markets and periods.

This week, I will analyze the primary trend of the US indices from various perspectives: time cycles, planetary cycles, stock market breadth, and the spread ratio between DJIA and the Nasdaq. Additionally, a trend indicator has been included on the main charts.

In the last few weeks, I have posted an analysis for the premium subscribers on the US Indices, illustrating a potential sideways W-top pattern unfolding over the next few weeks. It is an important pattern to watch, but I may be early in my assessment of a potential W-pattern unfolding in the US Indices.

A W-top pattern signals a potential reversal in a stock's price trend from bullish to bearish. This pattern is formed when the stock's price rises to a peak, then drops, rises again but not as high as the first peak, and then drops again. Traders refer to this pattern as a "W" because of its shape on the chart. It can take several weeks or months for a W-pattern to complete. Of course, at the bottom of a trend, the W-pattern is often a bullish scenario.

Below is an example from MSFT at the end of 2021, forming a W-top pattern. You can see what happened after the pattern was complete.

You can often draw a mirror-image foldback from the midpoint of the W for the future price direction. In this example of MSFT, it went all the way back in an almost similar price-time manner, as seen in the uptrend.

So, in my analysis, I like to watch for these patterns that can signal the start of a potential foldback scenario.

Using foldback scenarios, it is good to note that they will eventually cease to function and that time is more important than price.

This week, quite a few notable earnings may have brought the US Indices back on track. Based on my research on the 60-year cycle, I already expected the US indices to return to their 60-year cycle path after the pullback from March 21st to April 19th, 2024.

Although the correlation between the 60-year cycle and the DJIA and S&P500 is still high, the magnitude is lower, so I remain cautious. With much unrest in the world, any unexpected event could trigger the US Indices further downwards.

While the markets were open, I wrote this update for the premium subscribers on Friday morning US time, which is always challenging as unexpected moves during the last trading day of the week might jeopardize my writing.

In particular I was a bit concerned about the below triangle seen in the 60 minute chart of the S&P500. A downward breakout would probably mean the downturn from March 21st, 2024 was not over yet. Luckily, it did not happen.

According to the research of Thomas N. Bulkowski1 a premature upward breakout as seen in the above symmetrical triangle is seen in 14% of the cases. However, he saw in 58% of the cases after the breakout a pullback to the apex of this triangle. The probabilities of a failure rate for this pattern is 5%.

In last week’s post, I discussed the 60-year cycle and how this may fit today’s stock market performance. Why is this important? The main planets that name our days return to the same position in the zodiac approximately every 60 years. The 60-year cycle and its harmonics may be the most important cycles that repeat or inversely repeat again and again. This is the reason why themes from the past tend to repeat every 60 years.

Last week, I explained to the premium subscribers that the June 1964 low may well connect with the March 21st high and the April 19th 2024 pullback, with a 92% correlation over the last year. This is quite extraordinary.

You can see in the astrological chart below that the planetary position of the June 16th, 1964, low and the March 21st, 2024, high.

Some of the patterns from 1964 were similar to 2024, although there were some differences in planetary positions.

Plotting all planetary positions in a single chart may make it more apparent why the March 21st high occurred.

On the inner wheel, you can see the planetary positions of June 16th, 1964, and on the outer wheel, those of March 21st, 2024. The chart shows that Jupiter occupied the same zodiac degree on both dates. This alignment might have caused a shift in trend in 1964 and could have happened again in 2024, nearly two months earlier than expected. It seems that the vibration has returned!

You might want to know what happened on June 16th, 1964, which makes this event significant from the past. The answer is a severe earthquake in Japan (click on the link for a list on Wikipedia) on that particular date.

Can that event be linked to nearly 60 years later? Yes, research from David Mcminn shows that there is a 60-year cycle of earthquakes recorded in the USA.

The world was shocked again on April 19th (earthquakes) and April 21st of this year, when Jupiter and Uranus were on the same degree (conjunct), and the Ukraine deal was agreed upon in the American Congress.

In my previous post, I discussed the Jupiter-Uranus cycle which has shown a great correlation with the US Indices over the past two years. Despite many investors being bearish, I maintain a bullish outlook for the long term, not only due to this cycle, but also thanks to the Jupiter-Saturn Gann Master Cycle, which repeats itself approximately every 60 years.

During his time, W.D. Gann was not the only person who discovered the sixty year cycle, which is also known as 3 times the Jupiter-Saturn Cycle. In the 1920s, a professor named Weston published a treatise titled "Forecasting The New York Stock Exchange." Based on Fourier analysis, he discovered that there is a persistent +- 20 year cycle in the overall stock market, which is twice the 10-year cycle.

According to the research, the Jupiter-Saturn Cycle of this decade is not far from the current reality.

You may have noticed that the market continued to rise until it reached its peak on January 4th, 2022, due to the retrograde movement of the Jupiter-Saturn cycle in 2021.

The US indices bottomed in October 2022, but gained most momentum after March-April 2023, which aligns with Prof Weston's forecast for a low in the middle of year 3, or when Jupiter is on a 54 degree angle with Saturn.

The cycle is now heading to the Jupiter square Saturn aspect which in general is considered to be a high. Over the last seven cycles, it has sometimes been delayed. August 20th, 2024 is the first occurance of this aspect.

There will be three occurrences of the retrograde motion of Jupiter and Saturn in 2024/2025, with the last one taking place on June 15th, 2025.

Therefore, taking into account the previous instances of this cycle, I continue to hold a positive outlook on the overall trend. In my last post, I presented the overall trend based on the precise 60-year cycle, which can sometimes invert. In this week's post, I will demonstrate that the recent decline may be attributed to other cycles occurring earlier or later than 60 years ago.

In my previous post about the upcoming solar eclipse, I mentioned that the 60-year cycle may still be the most dominant cycle affecting the US Indices. If the markets continue to follow this cycle, we may not have seen the high yet.

Upon further analysis of the Jupiter Uranus cycle, of which the 4th Harmonic is close to the 41/41 month Kitchin Cycle, it seems that there is a possibility that the US Indices may continue to rise a little further rather than having reached a crest for now already.

With Jupiter (growth) and Uranus (sudden changes) conjunct (at the same degree) on April 21st, 2024, we could expect some unexpected moves around this time.

As I mentioned in my message to our premium subscribers last week, I am currently out of the office. Therefore, I will keep this update brief. However, I have prepared an analysis of the Jupiter-Uranus cycle scenario and the Gann Master cycle for the DJIA and SPX. This update is being sent out earlier than usual on the weekend. On Monday, April 8th, in some parts of North America, you can experience a total solar eclipse. This phenomenon happens when the Moon comes between the Earth and the Sun, causing the Sun to be hidden from view partially or completely. This type of occurrence happens around every six months, during the new moon phase when the Moon's orbital plane is closest to Earth's orbit. During a total eclipse, the Moon completely covers the Sun's disk.

Solar eclipses were often believed to be a sign of bad luck or attributed to supernatural causes in many ancient cultures. Astronomers have been predicting solar eclipses accurately since the 4th century BC in China. Nowadays, scientists can predict eclipses with great precision hundreds of years into the future, and we all know that an eclipse will not cause the world to collapse.🙂

However, Solar eclipses are known to have an effect. W.D. Gann wrote about this time factor in his book “A Tunnel Thru The Air”. You may want to re-read this post from two weeks ago featuring TSLA and explaining W.D. Gann’s example of the Solar eclipse.

We already experienced the effect of the Solar eclipse a few days ago with earthquakes in New York and Taiwan. I personally experienced the effects, as I was born just after a Solar eclipse, and I was in an accident many years ago around a solar and lunar eclipse. So, I tend to avoid traveling around this time of the year. If you're in the area (link to solar eclipse path), be cautious and wear sunglasses while viewing the eclipse.

Could there be any impact on financial markets this year? As the Moon conceals the Sun, we may not see the effects immediately. We might need to wait and observe what happens when the next planet(s) passes over the same degree or longitude where the solar eclipse occurred. These are important hotspots. We could also look into the historical data of past solar eclipses that took place in the same region, or what happened 18 years ago when a similar solar eclipse from the same Saros Cycle occurred. So, let’s dive into this.

In his latest article, Tom McClellan wrote about: “how there has been a change in what Bitcoin is and how it behaves.  Bitcoin prices are now walking in the footsteps of gold, and have been since about April 2022,” but as he argues not in price magnitude but in terms of similar direction and the changes in trend.

Is there a relationship between Bitcoin and Gold, or is Bitcoin the new digital Gold? McClellan suggests Bitcoin may have been lagging behind Gold for about a week. Doing a similar analysis with Timing Solution software, this is about right. Over the past year, I found that Bitcoin lacked Gold by three days, with a 58.7% correlation.

However, from a Gold perspective, Bitcoin may lead gold by 22 days, with a 74% correlation.

The question of which asset is leading - Bitcoin or Gold - is quite intriguing. However, it could be a case of the chicken and egg problem since a higher correlation does not necessarily imply a better correlation. It's important to note that correlation should not be mistaken for causation; at some point, these correlations tend to fade away.

In my opinion, Bitcoin is currently leading Gold. This is because the younger generation has adopted Bitcoin much earlier than the older, more conservative generation. I was reminded of what Peter Atwater wrote on X (Twitter), which states that novice investors are often pulled in at the end of important cycles.

However, a correlation between Bitcoin and Gold may not be due to either asset leading the other; instead, it may result from fundamental, planetary, or Intermarket relationships currently at play. The Mars-Uranus cycle, which is expected to peak this month, maybe the cycle behind the high levels of confidence in both Gold and Bitcoin we are currently experiencing. By analyzing this cycle and other intermarket factors, we may better grasp the possible future movements in Gold and Bitcoin.

We have had a short trading week as the markets are closed on the Friday before Easter. We are right in the middle of the recent lunar eclipse and the upcoming solar eclipse of April 8th, 2024. Often you can see quite some volatility around these dates. Markets may change course in between these dates, but can also continue on the current trend.

As the solar eclipse is during a New moon - when the moon is between the Earth and the Sun - expect anything that may happen around the solar eclipse is hidden in plain sight but will revealed later. You may want to re-read last week’s post featuring TSLA and explaining W.D. Gann’s example of the Solar eclipse in his book a Tunnel Thru The Air.

I was watching AAPL and the recent mirror image foldback that is unfolding. AAPL hit the 1x1 timing line from the lows of January 2023 a few days ago. This might give some support for now on which a rebound is possible.

Given that AAPL is revisiting similar angle returns as in January 2023 regarding Venus and Mercury, this might fuel a similar rebound as drawn on the above chart. Please notice the similarity with the Mercury Retrograde period of early 2023. However it is not guaranteed we will see a similar rebound. During Mercury Retrograde periods communication is often distorted, and markets may make a more sideways movement during this phase and into the shadow period.

The upcoming lunar and solar eclipses on March 25th and April 8th in 2024 are significant astronomical events. These natural phenomena have been known to impact people's emotions and behavior, which in turn can affect the stock market. I am closely monitoring these eclipses and their potential impact on the financial markets, as stocks and indices have often shown a turnaround around these dates.

A lunar eclipse occurs when the Earth comes between the Sun and the Moon, causing the Earth's shadow to fall on the Moon. This results in the Moon appearing reddish or coppery in color, which is why it is often called a "blood moon.” This phenomenon only takes place during a total or partial eclipse. The current event is a penumbral lunar eclipse, which means that the moon is passing only through the outer shadow of the earth, known as the penumbra. The shadow cast on the moon is barely noticeable.1

A solar eclipse is when the Moon blocks the Sun's light from reaching the Earth, resulting in a dark disk surrounded by a bright ring. It is important to never look directly at a solar eclipse without proper eye protection.

Eclipses occur within a cycle that is called a Saros. Every Saros cycle lasts for 223 synodic months, which is equivalent to approximately 6585.321 days or 18 years and 10 to 12 days, depending on the number of leap years.

The upcoming solar cycle belongs to the same series that occurred on March 29, 2006. It might be worth looking back this time period on what happened in the financial markets.

In his book “Tunnel Thru The Air”, W.D. Gann explained the importance of the time factors associated with eclipses.

In the above example (click on the picture to read the text) from W.D. Gann on a fictitious company called “Major Motors," you can see that in the actual world around that time, the DJIA changed course on the Solar eclipse of June 29th, 1927, and again on September 16th, 1927, at the midpoint of the two solar eclipses (yellow).

He also mentioned the age of the company, 19 years, which refers to the 19-year eclipse cycle, which is another time factor associated with eclipses. In his book, this refers to the 19-year eclipse cycle, when a new Moon takes place at the same position in the Zodiac.

So, in 2024, we are looking back at what happened in the financial markets 19 eclipse years ago, on the exact same date in April.

There is also another cycle associated with the eclipse cycle. After three saros eclipse intervals, the local time of the eclipse is likely to be almost the same. This period of 19,755.96 days is known as a triple saros or exeligmos cycle, which means "turn of the wheel" in Greek. Looking back three cycles, this brings us to 1970.

In today's post, I will show the premium subscribers what happened in the years 1970, 2005, and 2006.

The solar return on June 29th, 1927, on which W.D. Gann wrote about a fictitious company called “Major Motors," reminded me of the current Company TSLA, whose IPO is on June 29th, 2010, right in between the Lunar and Solar returns of 2010. Look at the chart below and see what happens around these dates and the midpoints (dashed lines/Sun square Mean Node).

Certainly, you can recognize these dates as a hotspot in which a lot is happening. However, this does not guarantee a market turn; at times, there is a lot of volatility within a trend, and the trend may continue afterward. It is always smart to watch other (technical) indicators or fundamentals to confirm a possible change in trend. The Producer Price Index (PPI) experienced a greater-than-expected annual rise in February, marking the largest increase since last September. An increase in the PPI may lead to a rise in consumer prices of goods and services, although other factors also play a role in determining prices. Over the past few years, consumers have already witnessed an increase in the costs of living, including groceries, housing, and energy. As a result, inflation remains a concern. Is history repeating?

The DJIA's closest cycle in 2023 has been the 71-year cycle, which is nearly twice the Saturn-Neptune Helio cycle (35.85 years). In astrology, Neptune rules over inflation, while Saturn governs recession, falling profits, poverty, unemployment, and scarcity.

In 1953, the United States faced a recession, which lasted from the second quarter of that year until the first quarter of 1954. The Federal Reserve tightened monetary policy in 1952 due to concerns about further inflation or the potential formation of a bubble. Historically, there was a recession from August of 1904 until August of that year, as well as in 1918, 1883, and 1848. All were approximately 35/36 years apart, with the exception of 1988/1989.

Currently, there seems to be a pattern of a 71-year cycle that keeps repeating itself. Despite the Federal Reserve's attempts to control inflation, I am taking into account this 71-year cycle. The chart below illustrates the events that took place in the DJIA during 1953-1954, overlaid on the current DJIA chart, which is 71 years later.

I alose overlaid the second harmonic of the Saturn-Neptune heliocycle on the chart above. Please note that the amplitude of both the 71-year and Saturn-Neptune cycles does not imply the same amplitude as the DJIA price curve.

Although this 71-year cycle has an 80% correlation with today's market, please note that any comparison with early years may stop working.

Although the economy may still be performing well due to delayed spending after the COVID-19 pandemic, consumers are beginning to feel the impact of inflation on their daily expenses, such as the rising costs of groceries and housing. This may eventually have an adverse effect on the economy, and a downturn in the stock market may likely follow. This may happen suddenly.

The Ides of March, a date steeped in intriguing historical significance, falls on March 15th in the Roman calendar. It was a time of several religious events and a deadline for settling debts in ancient Rome. The assassination of Julius Caesar on this day in 44 BC marked a pivotal moment in Roman history; it marked the Republic's end and the Empire's beginning.

In ancient Rome, the days of a month were not numbered sequentially. Instead, they were counted backward from three fixed points: Nones, Ides, and Kalends. The Ides of March originally depended on the full moon, reflecting the use of a lunar calendar. It was later standardized to March 15th for most months, except for March, May, July, and October.

"Beware of the Ides of March" originated from William Shakespeare's play Julius Caesar. In the play, a soothsayer warns Julius Caesar to be cautious on March 15th. This phrase has since become a proverbial expression to warn someone of possible danger or misfortune.

However, the phrase also carries a positive connotation, as it signifies a potential turning point in the market's direction. This aspect of the Ides of March is particularly relevant to investors and traders.

The late Paul Macrae Montgomery, a respected stock market expert, believed that the Ides of March could be a significant turning point for the stock market. His observations on emotional stock market behavior during this period were especially compelling. In his March 27th, 2009 newsletter, he referenced market scholar Milton Berg, who highlighted the biblical significance of the fourteenth and fifteenth day of 'Adar' as a time of reversal [1]. In 2009, the Ides of March fell on March 10th, and the stock market experienced a 20% gain in the following dozen sessions. This historical event underscores the potential impact of the Ides of March on the market's direction.

In 2024, a unique alignment occurs. The 'real' Ides of March coincides near the Jewish 14th day of Adar, known as Purim. This unique convergence, with the 'real' Ides of March falling on March 25th, 2024 (Full Moon), and the Jewish 14th day of Adar on March 23rd, raises a compelling Question: Will this alignment impact the Israeli war with Hamas and a turning point in the financial markets again?

Last week, I told a story based on the One Thousand and One Nights. These stories originate from Middle Eastern folktales. Often, folktales and various religious scriptures contain valuable information about cycles. This was the ancient way to convey knowledge through many generations. A cycle of a 1001 trading day, or close to 48 months, can be linked to a cycle found in the financial markets. I have shown last week how this cycle was a guide in the past and when it may repeat in the next few weeks.

There is no guarantee that this cycle alone will cause a change in trend. There are more active cycles, and they act like Wheels within Wheels, cycles within cycles. In the past few months, a long-term cycle was in force, and this may be the 60-year Gann Master Cycle we follow every week in my posts.

There is also a medium-term cycle that is associated with the Declination of the planets and the Moon.

Declination is a term used in astrology that refers to the position of a planet or celestial body in relation to the celestial equator. This measurement is crucial because it provides essential information about the planet's location in a natal chart or when it reaches certain peaks or bottoms in financial markets.

By looking at a planet's declination, astrologers can gain insights into various aspects of life, including financial markets. For example, the position of Venus, Mars, or the Moon in declination can give clues about the stock market, currency fluctuations, and commodity prices. Financial Astrologers can also identify patterns and relationships between planets and market conditions that may not be immediately apparent by looking at their position in the zodiac alone. Hence, declination is an important cycle to consider in financial astrology.

In my weekly post today, I will analyze the declination of Venus and Mars on the DJIA chart to provide additional insights into the current position of the stock market. Moreover, I will demonstrate how planetary lines on various US Indices form crucial areas of resistance and support, which may indicate possible turning points ahead. Lastly, I will discuss the position of longer-term cycles like the 60-year Gann Master Cycle and the 20-year harmonic.

Once upon a time, in a faraway land, there lived a poor woodcutter named Ali Baba. Despite his financial struggles, he always remained optimistic and hardworking, hoping for a better future.

Ali Baba managed to escape the wrath of the thieves, but he knew he had to be careful. He decided to use his newfound wealth to invest in the stock market, hoping to grow his fortune and secure his future.

For the next 1000 trading days or nights, Ali Baba watched his investments grow steadily. However, as the 1001st day approached, he began to feel uneasy. He had heard from a wise old sage that after 1000 trading days or nights, there was a possible downturn in the stock market.

Ali Baba didn't know what to do. He didn't want to lose all his hard-earned money, but he didn't want to miss out on any potential gains either. Finally, he decided to take a measured approach and sell some of his stocks to lock in his profits while keeping the rest invested for the long term.

As it turned out, the sage's prediction was true, and the stock market did experience a downturn. However, Ali Baba's careful planning and foresight paid off, and he was able to weather the storm without suffering any major losses.

From that day forward, Ali Baba continued to invest wisely and grow his wealth, all while keeping an eye out for any potential risks or challenges that might come his way.

Whether you are a long-term investor, a medium term trader or you are scalping the markets everyone is timing the markets. Whatever your analysis methods are to decide to buy or sell equities, you are essentially timing the markets based on your own analysis and risk/reward objectives.

So, I agree with Marian McClellan (1934-2003) the co-creator of the McClellan Oscillator and Summation Index

The McClellan Oscillator and Summation Index can be a valuable tool from time to time to determine the state of the market, but like any tool, it should not be used in sole isolation.

In principle, all techniques used fundamentally, technically, or cyclically are to model the future based on past behavior, but past performance is no guarantee for future results.

Many times I use the methods of Gann to determine the state of the various markets. W.D. Gann used different analysis techniques that can complement each other, ranging from time cycles, pattern analysis, astronomical techniques, and many others, to determine where the markets were heading. I do not believe he used them in sole isolation and nor should we.

In last week’s post, I mentioned a few Gann time cycles, like 60-year and 15-year cycles, that may be active in today's markets. In today’s post, I am showing some additional methods using price and time that may give some clues about where the US markets are heading.
